Since 2021, kaiako from ECE and New Entrant spaces have been coming together to share ideas, build knowledge, and strengthen connections. These hui have supported smoother transitions for tamariki moving from early childhood into school and have given teachers the chance to learn from each other, grow capability, and celebrate good practice.
Even though the Kāhui Ako is no longer in place, this kaupapa is too valuable to lose. It would be wonderful to see teachers in our area keep the momentum going by arranging regular hui, continuing to learn together, and supporting tamariki and whānau through strong, connected pathways.
Thank you to Sally Rollinson for her mahi in this space, taking the lead as an Across School Teacher from 2021-2025.
There are a few presentations from previous hui linked here.
